This national exclusive told the story of Art Bell IV, the 16-year-old son of overnight radio host Art Bell, who filed a lawsuit against an AIDS-stricken substitute teacher who kidnapped and sexually assaulted him. The crime against his son was the primary reason Bell retired from radio in late 1998, although the event went unreported until this article appeared on RadioDigest.com. (Bell has since returned to radio.) I wrote this article two days before newspaper reporters in Las Vegas, where the suit was filed, discovered the story.

This report detailed how Russian officials reacted when President Clinton discussed freedom of speech on an independent Russian radio station that regularly criticized the Russian government for — among other things — not protecting freedom of speech. The article contained exclusive quotes I obtained personally from hard-to-reach White House officials.
This feature told the story of Dave Epperson, a psychologist and former college professor whose side career landed him in the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. Epperson started a junior girls' volleyball tournament from scratch in 1984, and under his watch the event has evolved into one of the world's largest annual sporting events — nearly 10,000 athletes participated in the 2002 tournament.
This column for this hockey-related Web site detailed the off-season free-agency strategy for the NHL's San Jose Sharks and also included several noteworthy news items, including some that went unnoticed by major local publications and national sports information Web sites.

Topics covered included definitions and explanations of various network architectures, common networking terms, and different hardware and software elements that help networks function properly.
This article on radio personality Howard Stern analyzed the impact of his syndicated television program on his morning radio show and attempted to answer the question, "Is the self-proclaimed 'King of All Media' losing his fan base by dedicating less effort to his radio career?"
This guide to office acoustics discussed the impact of workplace noise on office productivity, outlined the components that make up most noise-reducing office solutions, and provided technical information about sound absorption and reduction efficacy rates for workstation panels, ceiling materials, light fixtures, and sound-masking systems.
